For christmas, I got a Samsung D807. We ordered it from Wirefly using the ebay express page (not buying the contract, just the phone). When I opened it, it had a 3G sim card already installed in the phone. No information of any sort on it, however. I just bought the phone to put my sim card from our family plan in it. I've done that, and it works just fine. I'm just curious as to if there is anything to be gained from having the 3G card. We don't have any data plans or text messaging, nor do I use them at all. If there is anything to be gained, is there a way to transfer the information to the new sim card? Numbers I can just put on my phone...what other information is on the card besides your own phone number?

as long as the sim card works and doesnt' have any issues with how the phone is working with the services I would just leave the sim card that you are using for it now.

Your old sim will work fine. The 3g sim has more memory to allow more contacts, more info per contact, and global calling compatibility. If you want to transfer old contacts from old sim to new sim:
Go to Cingular's Device Tutorials:
* Select "Getting Started" from the category list and then scroll down to the tutorial "Copy to/from SIM card".
* Follow the steps for your device.
Or just keep using your old sim
