I just got this phone and so far batery life sucks. I'm hoping after a few more charges it will fare better. I have heard said that playing music from memory card will drain the battery faster than playing from the phone. Has anyone here found this to be true? If so then By how much? I'm using blue tooth stereo head set and from what Iv'e been told this drains the battery 1 third times quicker already.

The battery life is usually drained about as fast as when you're making a voice call. The talk time is about 3.5 hours, which isn't long when going through songs. Instead of the vehicle charger, I'd say get the extended battery. This will make it a bit chunkier and heavier, but it will seem like the usage you can get out of it doubles. You can use it all day and have at least half the battery before the night time charge. And proper battery charging and the environment you keep your phone in affects the battery life. Humidity can tear down the life.

Above responses were helpful only in ruling out what my problem was not . Issue for me orginate from the way WMP transfered albums. WMP 11.0 creates a folder with artist name then a folder with the album name which contains the actual wma files. When I moved those files back to the root of my_music songs became visible to the phone. I then deleted the now empty folders. Hope this is helpful to others.

Oh, and I didn't mention, but the Chocolate phones can hold only up to 1000 songs, not by space but space for names. And names can't have characters like _ or # in them. Just alphanumeric.

Note: Aprximately 56mb required per album so aprox. 18 albums ber gb of storage on the SD card.
