Use mobile phone tools to add the tone to the phone's memory, as far as I know you can't use songs on the SD for ringtones

go to the song, press the menu button and choose Move. It will ask where. Click the phone. That's it.

also, when you do that, go to the phone sound menu, click the menu button for that song, then go to Apply as Ringtone.

That will work, but if you do it that way, it'll eat up your phone's memory and slow it down, the best way is to cut it and knock the KBPS down to 56, thats perfect for a ringtone, and you'll able to fit more ringtones, not to mention it's more practical considering your phone rings 20-30 seconds

Hi i have the same question but i have a different phone. i think i have the Katana MM-9000 from Sanyo.
and i already have the song i want in the Media folder. I go to the song on my phone and i cannot move it anywhere or choose to make it a ring tone. is there a different free and easy way to do so.
