Did that. Do you mean while it's plugged in?

Okay I'll try that. I tried the tutorial a long time ago and it worked the first time, then stopped working after.

Plugging it into a different USB port worked. I automatically installed Motorola USB drivers through windows, then it worked in Phone Tools.

Okay, now plugging it into a different USB port doesn't work. What the hell.

Try updating the drivers (follow the guide to connecting to p2k programs in tutorial section)

I did that, and I think it worked a while ago. It was working two days ago after I made it detect my phone connect to the USB. I copied a buncha pictures onto my computer. Today I tried it again, and it would see the phone and let me click on Transfer, but it would say processing failed when it loaded up the Transfer screen. So I made a big mistake and tried "connecting a new phone." Now it hasn't worked since. I "repaired" the drivers and it still doesn't work.

I haven't read the entire thread, so I'll toss out osme ideas, some of which may have already been mentioned.
When you encounter this many issues, I'd un-install MPT and any drivers you downloaded for the phone and start completely over from scratch. Re-install MPT, let it install any and all updates that it wants to, and then try connecting the phone again. Let it run the driver install routine completely before attempting to sync anything.
I've used MPT for a couple of years now with several Razrs of all the various flavors and one V-180 and there was only one that was ornery about syncing. Attempting to make that one work resulted in a lot of problems that you seem to having as well and I had to un-and re-install MTP, but it finally worked and continued to until I gave the phone to someone else. Hope you find this helpful.
(Forgot to mention I did this over 4 different computers as well)
If all of this still fails, there's always Mobiledit (right?).

I did that a while ago. But lately I have not been letting it update because someone said not to update. I'm updating now, but I'm not gonna reinstall, I've already done that many times.
