I have all the latest updates, it recognized the phone (V300) the first time it was plugged in, and it works.
It's stuck on "Initializing... please wait..."
I have "Exclusive Use" checked under Setup > Communication. When I try changing modem to Motorola USB Modem (right now it's on Standard Modem), it says "Not accessible or in use by another application."
Also, the USB to phone cable is the ONLY USB device I have plugged in, so I don't think it's a conflict with another USB device such as a capture card.

Try taking out the battery and SIM card, wait a few seconds, putting them back in place, and then see if it works.

Also try reinstalling the phone on a different port.

How exactly do you do that? I've tried it before, but I only got it to install on port 5 once.
I tried taking out the SIM card and battery, and now there's less "phone not recognized" symbols on the image on the phone (phone tools), but it still stays stuck on "Initializing... Please wait..."

To be honest, I think Motorla should never have made that program. What are you trying to do? You may be able to use P2K Commander for most solutions. Also, if the computer recognizes the phone, check the com port. Maybe if you have to manually set up phonetools it will work.

Transfer photos is the main thing, but also put ringtones on the phone.
Also clear up some space by deleting all the damn photos/ringtones that came with the phone (I know about the corrupted file trick).
How do you manually set up phone tools?

If you mean manually like choose the phone you want to use:
1. Uninstall all your files of MPT and then put the disc back into the PC.
2. Install MPT and let your computer set up your phone when it tells you to connect the phone into the PC.
3. If your computer can not find your phone, you will be able to manually install the phone.
**If your computer found the phone, do not follow step 4!**
4. A prompt will then ask you to start a Motorola Live Update and see if it could find your phone, click cancel. Then another prompt will ask you to manually install MPT. Click OK, another prompt will let you choose the Modem you would like to choose. Click on Motorola USB Modem and then click next (if there is no Motorola USB Modem present, you have to reinstall the drivers for the modem). You will now be able to choose your phone in four (4) different types of phones. Choose the correct phone, and then click next, then finish. MPT should now work correctly if your chose the right phone.

Oh yeah I've tried that before, but it still didn't work. It worked for that one time, and that's how it has the correct image of my phone, but it doesn't work anymore.
