Cannot get it to access my network, Centennial Wireless. I'm able to place calls and send texts, although it says its connected to ROAM 3 instead of Centennial. Significantly less coverage than if it were working properly.
I've tried all the automatic network settings, searches, setting preferred network as Centennial, etc.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I'm in Lafayette, Louisiana and Centennial operates on both GSM 850 & GSM 1900, the latter of which is supported by the K800i. My phone does receive signal from T-Mobile towers nearby, and since Centennial Wireless and T-Mobile have a roaming agreement, I'm able to use their towers with no charge. However, for many of the areas around here, Centennial towers cover more area than T-Mobile, thus it would be beneficial for me to receive signal from Centennial.

it sounds like those Centennial towers are using the 850 so it uses the 1900 from the T-mobile towers, but im not sure. you might want to call Centennial and ask them.

Under0ath, you were right... although Centennial states on their website that they use both GSM 850/1900, the 1900 mhz signal is only used around the Michigan area. I was picking up the GSM 1900 from T-Mobile. So now I'm stuck looking for a K790a and trying to resell this phone on Ebay.
