look, just use your common sense. Open a new account and get the phone your want at a discounted rate and get a few more for free with all numbers and you start fresh. No offense but verizon or any of their reps could care less about your personal affairs. That is not there job and your issue is easily resolved!

They did ended up starting over all new numbers and phones wasn't easy because of money issues, but at least now they are back in contact with each other, thanks for asking.
