the sierra card will not work with the mediamax plan
If the appropriate APN is provisioned in the system, then sure--the sierra card will work. If he has any problems with the card, however, and he calls in, the first thing data support'll say is, "We have to change your plan."

Quoted from CSP:
Customers need a Data Connect rate plan in order to use their laptop on the EDGE or BroadbandConnect (UMTS/HSDPA) networks
MediaMax packages are NOT - I repeat - ARE NOT comptable with PC/AIR cards for unlimited access to internet.

They aren't by policy, no .
As long as you have the correct APN provisioned, you won't have a problem... until you have a problem, a different one, then when you call data support, they take one look at your price plan... and they'll see it.

Mediamax wil not work. You wont have the corerect APN. The best solution is stop being cheap and get the right plan.

Also - with media max, programming the correct APN in snooper will no longer work - this bypass technique/trick does not work, I repeat, DOES NOT WORK.
