I was wondering if anyone knows where to get the software for the LG CU400 so i can transfer ringtones and pics from my computer to my phone, kinda like a motorola phone tools thing. I seen one on the lg website i think but its not there anymore. Someone please help because I'm not paying for every freakin ringtone. Thank you.

On the Cingular website you can go to their forums and find a link to the Australian LG website where you can download the software to transfer files to your CU500. It will sync with your Outlook files and contacts lists.
In Australia the CU500 is called the TU500.
For some reason this site will not allow me to post a link to the Australian site and their downloads

I just got a CU400, purchased the Data cable from eBay, spent a whole evening trying to find the software, and came up with something called bitpim (available for download from bitpim's website). The software installed OK, and it sees my phone as "another CDMA phone" but the CU400 is not on their list of compatible phones. You can download it and see if it works...good luck!

you can simply buy a blue tooth computer adapter at office depot for about 30 bucks or so. the transfer software is already in the phone. i have done this and it works without flaw.

Re: the message above, thanks for posting that.you are 100% right! I purchased a computer Bluetooth adaptor at Best Buy for $39.99 and it worked fine, AFTER I had to call the mfr's Customer Service line to understand how it works. And now it works great.I can transfer photos, videos, mp3's, etc., from the computer to the phone and vice versa.instantly! Nice to have something WORK for a change!

I don't use Outlook, so I really can't say either way. I do know that there is NO problem transferring photos, videos, or mp3 files from the phone to the computer and back, using Blutooth.

Can you load mp3s to your music folder or sounds folder only?

All mp3's that I've sent to the phone come into the Inbox, and from there I can set them as ringtones, or save to another Folder, the phone gives you plenty of options.
