Does anyone know anything about Pantech phones? I looked at a pantech and I like the features, but I don't know if it is worthwhile.
Does anyone have one or have any opinions about pantech?
Please help!!!!

turtlejan, I just purchased a Pantech c3 & for the life of me I cannot figure out how to change my ring tone from stock to basic / simple ring! even with the manual right in front of me. I'm assuming that there are some preprogramed tones already onboard? My advise?, go for the cheaper / simpler models / brands!
Anyone out ther that knows the secret to changing my ringtone, let me know!

I recently bought a C300. I am not sure if its similar to the C3 but to change the ringtone: go to menu, settings, audio, & ringtone. "Ringtype" lets you set how you want your ring to sound. "Sound" lets you set your ringtone. Once you find your ringtone select "ok".
If you want to specify a ringtone for a person, go to "edit" that person's information and there should be an option somewhere that lets you specify a ringtone and/or a picture.
This is my first camara phone. I am trying to figure out how to sinc my phone with my computer. I bought the data cable and downloaded the "software" from the Pantech website. When I plug my phone in my computer asks me to install the hardware and gives me some sort of configuration screen. Does anybody know what this is or what I am supposed to do? I tryed to have my computer do it automatically but it couldn't match anything up.
Also, after I downloaded the software, I went through the set up the way that the Pantech site instructed. The first time I clicked on the "P" my phone was able to connect (it was recognized) but I couldn't find my pictures. The second time I tried to connect the software screen vanished (as if i clicked on the x in the upper right hand corner).

Pantech is a Korean product and has been in business since 1991. They originally were a company that helped make the internal parts of a phone. I don't know if you are old enough to remember the Motorola StarTac.but that was a phone that hey helped build.
I have used them and I am really picky about signal strength and they come in just as well as my Nokia and Motorolas.
