i have the tg800 chocolate
and my sister sent me ringtones but they just go to my mp3 file and i cant use them as ringtones... is there a way to fix this?

there are so many problems with the chocolate
if i could go back in time
i wouldnt buy it again
its soo annoying

word on the street is rogers has disabled certain features on chocolate 800 ie set as ring tone, cause they sell em, quick way arround this is...
hook up usb cable, open My computer, right click drive E(or what ever your phone is), click properties, click advanced, look for "hidden file/folders", click unhide/show, one should be "ringtones" then its just drag and drop.
i have not tried this yet as i don't have my cable in the office, but this is what LG customer rep told me after 45min on hold.

ive done it,because i had my numbers in different sections ie family,friends it wouldnt let me set my ringtone so i set all my numbers to family and i can now set my ringtone.

BitPim is the program I use. You can use it in conjunction with the USB cable. The nice thing about BitPim is that it seems to be very compatible and easily transfers files to the appropriate location on you phone.
