I know cingular runs 2 bands, 850 and 1900, but the v3xx is only capable of 900, 1800, and 1900, and 3g 2100, so is it only going to be able to utilize theoretically half of the network? or 2/3 3g and 1900? or is 3g replacing the 850 band towers?

there are 2 bands yes... but it is not equally divided... there is in most major centers 850 and 1900 mhz coverage simutaneously (meaning both freqs available at the same time)... but 3g service is only available where there is 1900 coverage...AFAIK cingualr is keeping the existing 850 and adding more 1900

Ok, is there some kind of overlay coverage map for the two bands? I was thinking about this phone for a while, but I still want that same great service.
