Hi. I just purchased the LG VX8600 yesterday and would like to know how many others have this phone and if they are satisfied with it.

I like it too, especially once I figured out how to turn up the volume so I can hear well. That was a big problem on my previous phone. I just wanted a phone that didn't lose connection and that I could hear. It feels a little big in my hands due to the boxier design but as of now, I love it.

i HAD it. liked it but two things disappointed me: the camera and the speaker phone. camera is horrible and the speakerphone was too low at its highest volume, and i use the speakerphone religiously. loved the size, but the front panel is going to get scratched up big time, unless you use a leather case, which i don't. took it back and got the enV. i won't be looking for a new cell phone for a long time now!

I got this phone about a month ago and I love it. It's my first phone so I don't have a whole lot to go by, but so far so good. I bought a 1 gig microSD card for music and the Music Essentials Kit from Verizon so I have most of my favorite songs on it. The only main thing I don't like is that you can't use your mp3s as ringtones.
Mine came with a charger (works great, charges quickly) and a headphone adapter. For some reason, it adapts to headset size (2.5) instead of regular headphones (3.5). So if you're like me and have small ears, you'll have to buy an adapter for the adapter if you want to use regular 3.5 headphones.
I'm having trouble getting pictures from my computer to fit the background. When I resize it to the 176x220 screen size, they end up tiny. When I use them at regular size, they get cut off. Anybody having the same problem or know what to do?
Anyways, the phones great. You'll get to like it better each day as you figure out new things. Just don't waste 2.99 buying ringtones unless you have a lot of money lying around.

Hi, I have the LGVX8600 and I like it very much. I like that it's so thin, and I love the screen resolution. But there are a few things I'd like to know that I can't figure out on my own or in the manual.
1. Is there a way I can connect my phone to my personal computer, without using bluetooth? Is there a cable I can use?
2. When people call me, they don't hear the phone rings, as you do on normal phones. They hear music and a message saying something like, "your call will be connected shortly". How do I get that to stop? It freaks my friends out. I just want people to hear the ringing, like on old fashioned phones. Does anyone else have this happening?
Thanks for your answers.

I've had mine for a couple of weeks now and think it's great. I has taken a while to learn all the features, but once you do, you will love it. My only complaint is the battery life. It seems shorter than normal new phones. Has anyone had this problem?
