I keep seeing talk of a Razr V3xx. Is this the same phone as the V3x? The V3x is a tri-band phone that won't work on the Cingular network. And it's been around for a couple of years or so. Maybe the V3xx is a different beast?

we can use them, you just won't get service on all towers, but elmo cleared it up for me, the majority of the time 850 and 1900 towers overlap, so even though you have a triband, which doesn't support 850, you'll still get coverage because the 1900 tower overlaps the 850 zone

That may be, but where I'm located, the V3x worked about half of the time. And it kept trying to roam on the local T-Mobile towers, as well.

A bummer, indeed.

Just got my V3xx and was very happy until I discovered the new voice command system. Instead of labels, as in the other Razr's, it uses commands. You wind up repeating a "Dial Name" command twice, the phonebook entry twice, just for the system to respond that it can't find the name. This goes back to the most primitive days of voice recognition. I personally live by the voice dial capabilities of a phone, this one sucks, so its going back.

If you use voice dial capabilities this phone will not do it for you. Stay away.!

Yeah, all the new motos have obey moto.

Do you have the V3xx from europe or from cingy? if you have the one from europe, the obeymoto voice recognition won't work well unless you throw a british accent in there.
