I must say that I have been with Sprint for years now and they are simply the worst company EVER..period. I've been on hold for hours, lied to time after time, hung up on, and just treated like crap in general. You would never know that I have done business with them for about 6 years now and pay around $250 a month for my phones and broadband card. So why don't I just switch??...I think that all the big cell phone companies are all bigger than god and could really care a less about customer service. Am I wrong? Is there a company that actually still cares about the small guy?

I don't think they really don't care, and I don't believe you are being lied to in the harshest tense. Sprint's Customer Care line is generally filled with the newest people, and even when they are not foreign and difficult to understand, they generally have very little training, which makes it seem to you that they are incompetent and or lying. I definitely understand how you feel, unfortunately the best people in the customer service world rarely stay at the bottom level long, so in any large company you will get the same undertrained or unfriendly service that you are getting now. If it helps try to imagine that they have just dealt with the most annoying and petulant person in the world, and may need a second to calm down a little. It also helps if you don't expect the run around, and when you talk on the phone, smile, it does transfer into your voice, they will appreciate it, and in turn may do more for you then normally inclined. The only thing you can control about the situation, is how you react to it. In an ideal world all Customer Service people would be friendly, unfortunately we only have this one to live in. Not knowing what other systems work good in your area I can't make an alternative suggestion. On a side note, Alltel is a fairly small company, and I believe that all of it's customer service call centers are here in America.

I also have T-Mobile and think their customer service is very good. Unfortunately my wife wants me to switch to Sprint.

I can't pass any judgement on TMobile service, as they work terrible out here, so no one has them. Then again talking to Customer Service is a crap shoot, it all depends on who you're talking to.
