I tried setting default to mMode. Tones still will not come to phone.

Ok, so you can access mmode and the tones don't store on the phone, but when your put your sons sim it still goes through? That doesn't make sense you said he has an orange sim?

when i purchase tones from cingular online via my computer, they are sent to my phone but never make it to the phone so i dont even have the option to store them. if i put my sons orange cingular sim in, i can then sucessfully receive the tone an store them to my phone. but i would like to be able to do that with my own sim att card.

oh thats why I though you were purchasing them via the phones internet, the reason It won't work is because you have a blue sim and the ringtones are sent through MEdia Net, Just buy them on Mmode.

Just like everyone else, I am having trouble configuring a Sony Ericsson w810i to work on the former ATT mmode setting.
The settings are a little different from all the other phones and I cant seem to find anywhere that has any SONY ERICSSON configuration settings...
any help could be greatly appreciated

I have an unlocked razr and the old At&t Sim card. I tried the above setup you suggested and tested it out. I get my texts but I am still not able to get the attached pictures I am sending.
Any thoughts?

It IS letting me access my browser, but it's not letting me send or receive MMS.

you still need the mms settings, search for ATT MMS settings, you'll find them.
