The cheapest is around C$40 for bluetooth adaptor. Check your local futureshop. FYR, I have no problem so far with the supplied usb cable. Have you installed the software that comes with the phone?

If everything is normal, when you connect TG800 to your PC with the usb cable, the phone's display will lit up and display don't disconnect the cable. and your PC will find new hardware. It will recognize the phone as an usb storage device similar to most MP3 or digital camera. You will find a new drive in My Computer and it has a folder called My Media. Inside My Media, you will find other folders like Music; Others; Photos; Ringtunes (This is a Hidden folder) and Videos. Open the folder you like and do a drag and drop to copy files. It is just that easy. If it doesn't work, something must be wrong.
As for Bluetooth, it may not be as easy and straight forward as you may think. First, you have to pair the phone and PC so that they can recognize each other. After they are paired. Find the Bluetooth icon on the task bar and right click on it to find the Wireless File Transfer. This is for you to send file from PC to the phone. Click on Wireless File Transfer, a window will show up and you can then choose Add to add a file to be transferred to the phone. Select the Bluetooth device (which is your TG800) and then click Send. Your phone will display whether you want to accept the file. Click Yes to receive the file. You can locate the file by Menu - Media - Others.
To send a file such as a photo or picture from the phone to the PC, select the photo or picture and select option - send by Bluetooth. Select your PC and send. Your PC will then display a dialog and ask if you want to accept the file to be saved to a folder, use browse or type in a different folder if you want and then click OK. Sound complicate, isn't it. I prefer the usb link more than the Bluetooth link.
By the way, I am using a Dell Notebook with build in Bluetooth and I am using a Fido TG800. The above could just be a typical example and it may not apply to your Bluetooth setup and TG800.
