Finally, I get to check my e-mail on my SE T610 with no hassle. This feature rocks! And this time, I'd like to share this with everyone.
What I did is I signed up with HotPOP for a free POP3 e-mail account. You can do this by going to www.hotpop.com or you can use your own POP3 account from your ISP. The setting is just how you set your e-mail account with Outlook Express.
To enter the settings in your SE T610, go to 'MESSAGING', 'Email' and then 'Options'. Go to 'Set Account' and create a new data account. You can name it 'HotPOP' or whatever you want to call it. It's very important that you have the right APN information from your Mobile Service Provider. If there's already an account set up in there, no worries. Just leave it in there and once you have successfully set up your E-mail settings on your phone with HotPOP, you can always go back and delete an old account in there that you won't be using by pressing the 'clear button' on your phone.
Now use the following settings below:
Data Accounts
-GPRS E-Mail
APN: internet.fido.ca [or wireless provider ur on/Westel/T-Mobile, etc.]
User id: [leave this blank]
Password: [leave this blank]
E-Mail Accounts
-HotPOP
Connect using: GPRS E-Mail
Protocol: POP3
Inc. server: 204.57.55.33 [or pop.yourISP.com]
Incoming port: 110
Mailbox: [your full e-mail address]
Password: [your password]
Outgoing server: 204.57.55.67 [or smtp.yourISP.com]
Outgoing port: 25
E-Mail address: [your full e-mail address]
From name: [Your full name]
Signature: [You can leave this blank]
Copy outgoing: Off
Check interval: Off
Hope this works for you as it works for me. Now I can check my e-mail anywhere I go without a PC. Please reply and let me know if this tip is useful for you. Take time to leave a note to say Hi.
HAVE FUN with the BEST PHONE in the world!

Well, dear forum users, excuse me this breaking of rulez:
Hát, volt ott valami szerződés-féle amit kötöttem a Westellel, be is írtam mindent a Data accounts-ba becsületesen, csakhogy énnálam se találja a szervert, és most havi 250 Ft a nagy semmiért. Legalábbis egyenlőre. Épp most fogok mailt küldeni az ugyfelszolgalat@westel900.hu -ra, hátha nem néznek majd abszolút hülyének.

I beg to differ with jazziegirl about the hot pop e-mail acount.
i have just tried to register to get an account with hot pop and
it really isn't as easy as you claim, the paticular part i'm speaking of is
when they ask you to type in the code after the secret answer question!
i must have typed it in 5 or 6 times and even had it said with windows media(because it gives you that option) and typed it letter for number exactly 3 or 4 more times but at the end of the registration i clicked on (NEXT) and it kept returning with the answer that i have not typed in the correct code, so frankly i must say that it is B.S. and unless you would rather waste your time and get frusterated, i would advise anyone else who wants to try FORGET IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

should be getting a t230 next week, one of the main features that im looking forwards to is the pop3 email.one question though - if i check my email on my phone, and receive an email, will the phone leave it on the email server so i can then receive it with outlook express at home or remove it?i do webdesign from home, and would like to check my email on the move, but i must equally always have a copy of an email on my main computer at home.thanks guys!
