Right now I am paying way to much for my Cingular Family plan, and I just got a divorce and I can not afford to keep paying this much for my phone and my kid's phones. It's way too much, I have the lowest minutes I can get with the plan. I can not keep paying this much. There is another carrier in my area called Southern Linc and I can afford their family plan very easily and it will save me the much needed money. What can I do to get out of my contract?
you can pay the Early Termination fees, 175 bucks per line, depending on your state, it may be 150 a line, but thats what you gotta pay to opt out.

you can also do a transfer of service. basically, you can try and find someone who is willing to take over your plan and you can transfer financial responsibility to that person and you are cleared of any contract obligation.

150 was only prior to Feb 2006, and ONLY for certain markets like the Philadelhpia market

Try selling your unexpired contract through Craigslist.com. A friend of mine just sold his (he is moving to Asia) and a guy from NY who is on a temporary work assigment purchased the unexpired period.
Good luck.

I need to find someone in the Northern California area who would like to buy out my Cingular plan OR anyone who knows the number to the corporate office.
Please help, I've been on the phone for an hour now talking, reasoning, crying and screaming at them to at least Try to help me with my problem. They all refuse-THEN they write horrible notes about me in my account. This is driving me insane.
