Got the chocolate a few weeks ago and love it. The only problem I have been experiencing with it is that it seems to be freezing when I change songs while using the music player more and more frequently. Anybody else have this problem? Any ideas as to how to fix it? Thanks

I have had this problem. I think I have it figured out. I only freeze up when playing mp3's that are stored on me 1gb SD card. So far I can play mp3's stored on my phone memory with no problem. So, I am betting it is a bad SD card or maybe there is a special way to format it.

I just followed the instructions people put in the custom ringtones thread. I downloaded Wavepad and use it to cut songs on my computer into 25-30 second clips save them as mp3s and then email them to my phone xxxxxxxxxx@vzwpix.com Worked great for me so far.

Yeah, I've noticed the freezing as well. I'm also using a 1gb microSD card. It doesn't seem to happen too frequently though, and when it does, here's what I do :
1) Leave the phone alone for about a minute. The music player might unfreeze itself.
2) If it doesn't, do not switch to the music player. Instead simply unlock the keypad and press the End button on the side of the phone. This will quit the music player application automatically. After you quit it, go to the music player again and start playing music normally.
If you switch to the music player after it freezes, it will cause the whole phone to lock up completely, forcing you to take the battery out and start it up again.
I've also noticed that the phone starts up much slower if a microSD card is inside of it, so take it out before you turn it back on.

I think the real problem is the sloppy programming of the music player software. Seems likely, considering other small problems I've had with this phone's OS/software.

I'm also having this problem, and i do not have a microSD in it. I will be playing a song and then it all of a sudden stops playing. I look down at it and it appears to be off, not screen, no lights, nothing. Pushing buttons doesn't help at all. I have to take the battery out because there is nothing else I can do. This usually happens during the first song!
