the problem is that your fone doesnt have any cingular serttings, yes it does say cingular on the screen but please call cingular rep and theyl guide you through the internet setup, i also bought a fone off ebay an unlocked razr and i was mad to see that the intrent didnt work but i called them and they helped me get on internetr again
As a friendly reminder, all unlocked phones are not guarenteed to work with cingular service - this includes data, text, mms, and even voice.

I have the exact same problem. My awesome lg f9200 is locked on FIDO. But, I've been on the phone w/ cingular customer svc for 35 minutes, LG for 20 minutes, and my Cingular store for another 30. No luck w any of those. we can't overtype the network settings to make it media net. the cursor is locked on that screen to read wap.fido.ca

You say this all the time but its not true, it will work provided you set it up right, how do you think cingy branded phones get on the internet, cingular orders them with the correct websessions for their network.
that feature may need to be unlocked through programming, but thats something you'd have to take up with LG experts.

i made several calls to cing, to lg, & even went to my store. LG had repeatedly been very tight lipped w me. LG suggested to go to Cing store and have them flash it w/ their computer. that doesn't happen anymore. I finally got Cingular Advanced Tech to call LG support while i was on the line. together, cingular & LG announced, 'it can't be fixed'. we could never overtype wap.fido.ca. the cursor remains locked when on the network profile screen.

I have the same problem except the phone I bought is locked to a Cingular network and I'm with Fido. My phone is brand new, and if anybody would like to do some sort of trade, I'd be happy to do so.
