I have recently purchased a KRZR phone (unlocked), and though the display is in english, when I try to enter text (such as a text message), it enters the screen in another language (an asian language). I followed master clear / reset, and it still does the same thing. I also set the language from automatic to english - same problem.
Can anyone help me here?
Thanks

Thanks . . . that worked. I thought I was going to have to flash. The company I bought it from told me I would.

I am having the same problem.
I just bought an unlocked phone and the text language is not English and I can't figure out how to change it. I cannot locate the entry setup to change the primary and secondary input methods.
Thank you for the help

Thank you for you help.
I can now text in English.
Now if I can just access media net so I can download my ringtones or get them from my text message when i buy them from Cingular's website.
I can't get any of the things to work.

For this the best would be a Cingular flex. However it should be possible to make it work with correct settings. You can get them sent to phone from Cingulars website or Malibu21 might be able to help you out
