Greetings earthlings....
i`m quite new to SimOS/Mobiles Tech so I need some help with a QD
I recently bought a v good condition QD for my son to fiddle with (he`s still 8yrs and cant afford a psp ) and would like to upgrade from v3.15 to v4.15 and then try some recent apps/ngage games on a new 512MB i bought (didnt go for 1gb cos I tot it would slow the fone down tru? )
Unfortunately in Malta no qualified/nokia agents so I cant have it done by someone for a small fee.
Also (dont wanna make this too long) anyone having a small prob with PC Suite after detecting pc/fone u have to restart both? others phone is still offline on Pc Suite.

Firmware: can't help you. It's illegal to download the firmware. Also you would need some extra hardware.
You should travel to Sicily (Sicilia), I fought myself throught the nokia.it website despite I don't speak any italian and saw that there are alot of Nokia support shops.
(I checked ferry prizes... same amount of money or even cheaper than buying the extra hardware (depends on typ of hardware))
Memory cards: it's an urban legend that a big memory card slows down a phone.
OK, in one point it is true: it is of course slower when you open the gallery because it has to scan a lot more space (obvious, isn't it?). The overall performance isn't influenced.

thanks a lot will def consider sicily since I speak good italian. And apart hardware costs will avoid the chance of %*^!ing something up
Also I managed to play N-Gage games by just putting them in the MMC E:/System and then into /Apps and /Libs just the same way I used to do when I had the Nokia 6600, funily enough you dont need Blizz Installer to play them on N-Gage O.o is it because they are proper N-Gage games and they just run normally since from MMC or is it becuase the games I downloaded are already cracked?
(p.s. In the /Libs directory there is a lot of overwriting since most games use same filenames in Libs.... is it normal or means that I`m gonna get an error sooner or later in the game ?
THANKS again! Good me I found this forum

Theoretically a N-Gage game need no crack, it can easily be copied.
But it is illegal.
No idea if there will occur errors.

yes aware of that, just a nice way of checking games before buying them.
Ngage games (just cart no box/manuals) are as cheap as 4 euros since its not something so much on demand.
thx a lot for you time bjoern
