I reside in South Florida - today signed w/T-mobile
as a trial, as i am concerned about call quality & reception (i can return phone & switch providers in 2 weeks) my contract w/cingular is finally up - i
was one of those victims of the AT&T cingular conversion -HORRIBLE. so now thought i would look
at verizon - but was enticed by a great phone deal at costco today w/TM- i look at cool, but not necessarily hi-tech smart phones (have liked the
LGvx8600, or today w/TM got the Nokia 6133,ie)
DOES anyone have an opinion on TM service in S Florida - i am on the road - sales rep. THANKS!

absolutely! buyers remorse! if you purchase your phone from a direct t-mobile source (I.E. not Bobs Wireless) you'll have a period of time that if you don't like it for WHATEVER reason you can cancel out of everything with no penalty. But it has to be returned to the place it was purchased from.
hehe and as for t-mo planting reps on here, no. Many of us just like the chance to tell customers whats really going on, without all the dance around crap we do all day long. usually the truth falls under 1 of 3 categories
1) you the customer didn't pay attention and now have a problem.
2) an incompetent rep or most likely indirect dealer didn't follow policy and screwed things up.
3) cust is just trying to get free shit.

Your best choice before checking up or listening to any of these bafoons is check up t-mobiles coverage website and besides you have a 14 day risk free trial period so you can try out the service and see how you like it man

I live on the west side of Detroit. I've had Tmobile for about three years. In the beginning I did not have reception in my house! I call and complained that first year and they acually fixed it. It took 6 months though. Throughout the area it has improved alot. I drive to NYC every month or so and the only problem is through the mountains of PA and western NJ along I-80.

1st year was good, 2nd year (now) is horrible. I barely have bars at all. and around 6pm to 6am i have no bars. or i get network busy, failed call, ect. Right now i have no bars. hopefuly this will end soon, never again.
(funny how the coverage zone says i should have full coverage)

Excuse me, but I'm in central MS and my parents on the MS Gulf Coast.you know, the OTHER place besides New Orleans that Katrina hit, but you wouldn't know that from the news (I'll never forgive them for that, either). I was in touch with my parents on Cingular Monday night after the storm and making admittedly limited calls while on the Coast on late Tuesday.
And the fact is, a MS-based CDMA cellular company called Cellular South did head and shoulders better than any of the other companies staying online, as well as offering free calls to walk-in customers trying to contact out-of-area family members to let them know that they were still alive. And I do know of a few Cingular stores that were doing the same thing. The ones that weren't destroyed, that is.
When it comes to Katrina and the fact that my parents lost their 5th home to a hurricane (try as I might over the years, I couldn't get them to relocate) plus losing my Dad during the rebuilding process, I'm just a little touchy when I see people spouting off incorrect info.
