i have a sound file in "My Sounds" but when i try to play, it doesnt let me. then i try to erase it and it says "remove error." so basically i cant do anything with it and all it does is take up space on my phone. *this isnt on a microsd card btw.

Try to move the file to a micro sd card then delete it from either your phone or your computer. If that doesn't work try hooking your phone up to your computer directly via USB cable and delete it using a program like BitPim. You can search Google for BitPim and come up with the free download fairly readily.
Tell me if this works or not.

well, bitpim was what i used to put it on there in the first place. but when i use bitpim to try and access "my sounds," it goes really really...really really slow because it trys to look at my songs that are stored on the phone memory. Like, it tries to get the data from one song, and that takes 30 minutes, and i have 12 songs.....

Did you try moving it to the MicroSD then deleting it with your computer and a card reader? If that doesn't work. Just take it into the store. They can hook it up to their computers and be sure to get rid of it.

The files will stay on my Chocolate until I power off, after restart the files are gone.
