thank god for some common sense
remember ppl step 1 is always pesonal accountability you make mistakes you fix them you go over min you pay . i ask this if one day you buy 20 ppv movies from your cable provider and your bill is 100 bucks extra would you expect a credit as a one time favor for a "long time customer" haha they would laugh at you why please tell me why do ppl expect this from cellular service

I have ALOT of bad experience with different cell phone companies and im just going to say this. first of all congrats on having a succesful long distance relationship (l0l) secondly oyu cant scam a scammer. these companies are experts at scamming and as long as they have an idomised copy of where all the charges came from, there's nothing you can lie about and nothin you can do about it. next time just make sure that u and ur girl can talk to each other unlimited

I went over 500 minutes and T-Mobile took off $100, they offered to take off the entire bill--about $200---if I agreed to a 2 year contract but that seemed like a lot so I took the $100 off.
Too bad I can't get out of the whole bill.

I Agree. People attack the cellular industry like no other. what cellular companies need to do is take further steps into unlimited plans like those recently launched by several carriers, and make them more family friendly. it might inspire people to cut the cord leaving them dependent on cellular service, and with the upcoming femtocells that wouldn't be a problem. and people relying on thier mobile devices solely would be good for mobile carriers in general.

I work for T-Mobile and I've done cust service for them - No matter what ToWhateverEnd thinks or says, not all reps are going to flat out credit 50% of a bill just cause someone says they are going to cancel. If the charges are valid, we do not have to credit anything - It's going above and beyond if we do. Because alot of our customers did what ToWhateverEnd and his friend's have done, credit policies have gotten harsher, and they look very closely at when they are done and why, so here are a few things I and other reps review before considering giving one.
I, as well as most reps, look at several different things.
-- First off, how long as the account been there. I'm more likely to try and help if the customer has been with us over 2 years or under 3 months.
-- What is their payment history? If their avg bill is less than about $50/month, I'll offer to credit maybe upto double their standard bill. Between $50 & $100 - Maybe $100 or a bit more. Over $100 on a regular basis - We'll work something out.
-- How much have they already been adj since they started? Do they abuse the system? If their credits equal 1% or more of their total payments, your gonna have to convince me really hard to adjust anything.
-- Suspensions/late notices/etc. I'll look at the collection history. If you are always gettings text messages or letters about how past due your bill is, that's another mark, but if your paying ontime each month that's a check in your favor.
So as you can see, if we are going to circumvent policy you had better be a very good customer. Before I offer a credit though, what I will offer is a rate plan change and a courtesy re-rate. Basically, if the overage would never have occured if they were on a 2,500 min rate plan for $99.99 but were only on a 600 min for $39.99 - I'll offer to change the rate plan to the one that would properly cover them, including the one year contract extention - The re-rate the customer as if they'd been on that plan instead.
So my honest advice - Realize that you guys screwed up, take ownership of your mistakes, act like responsible adults and just pay the bill. She could have checked her minutes by hitting #646# at anytime - Takes all of 5 seconds. She could have called customer service - Takes 5 minutes. She could have checked online - Takes 1-2 min depending on the connection since it's on the very first page. |
I dont know if you could, but could you help me out? I was in a car accident a couple weeks back and went way over my minutes. I had beaucoup incoming calls of people worrying and I had to explain everything to them. My bill is at $461. I wanted to know if you could cut my bill in half. I will up my plan one higher and extend my contract for another year. I have paid all my bills on time and love t-mobile. It is just hard, because I am nineteen and I have to move out of my parents place as of this sunday.I dont have the money to get my phone back on. If you can help me.send me an e-mail.wakingishmale at aol dot com

Hi Tigress,
I was reading your reply and it hit me! I need HELP!
I have been trying to figure out a good phone and between all the reviews that I have read and talking to sale reps I am so confused and starting to beleive there is no good phone! rofl!
Seems either the phone I decide on is discontinued or has a lot of users who hate the phone and so forth. All I am looking for is a good flip phone with great voice quality on both ends. I do not need a camera or a radio or a t.v or a kitchen sink! I just want to be able to make calls and later text.
I am going with the flex monthly plan for I do not want to be stuck with a 2 year contract and I love the fav 300 plan! I have to pay without web discounts so I am trying to keep the price of the phone well under 150 dollars. I am going crazy here for the third day! I just want a good reliable phone.
Any help would be so much appreciated!
Thank YOU for your time and have a wonderful day!
~Jami~
