Okay, apparently my phone got liquid damage somehow (I never got it wet), so they sent me a replacement. Now, what I want to know is what do I do with my current phone? Do I send it to them? Do I keep it? I'd really like to keep it, 'cause I'm real sentimental for some reason and I want to keep my first cell phone. If I have to send it to them, is there any way possible I can keep it?

If "they" have not asked for you to send it back to them, then keep it. If "they" ask for it, explain why you would rather keep it and "they" will either allow you to keep it...or not.

If they ask about your 1st cell phone with the water damage, to have it sent in and you still want to keep it, you might get charged for the replacement phone at its retail price on your next bill. That's why they call it a warranty replacement.
You still might be charged even if you send it in. Because if a tech does deem it as water damaged, it voids the warranty from your service provider.
Remember, just because you never got the phone wet, doesn't mean that it's exempt from any moisture damage. It could come from being in your pocket all day long soaking being exposed to sweat. Or going outside during extreme weather conditions, and having the environment change dramatically (eg snowy 20 degrees or below outside, then going into a warm room).

It's not a warranty. It's insurance. There's a difference. Will they still charge me, since it's insurance, and not warranty, if I don't send it back?

From my understanding Lockline charges a $50 deductible for the phone and its if it was lost stolen w/e so you should be able to keep the phone

Well, since we charged you the $50, you went through Asurion insurance - and you should have recieved documentation instructing you on how to return the phone, or if not, call 1-888-562-8662 (they went back to the old number)

if its an insurance claim the device is not returned... its only returned if you process a warranty claim...water damage=insurance claim...ergo you dont return the device

Well, what the asurion agent told me when we were trained on the new changes you don't have to return the phone if it was lost but you may have to get an affidavit, which an insurance agent will let you know - as always, try to call them at 1-888-562-8662 for more info.
