Has nothing to do with screwing, if you implement something that is costly and doesn't make you one of the dominant players, you cut it. That's what they did. And I wouldn't look to rollover being available all that much longer either at this point in time.

Well, I am glad that Cingular isn't going to get rollover!

I had sprint, it was okay - plans were okay. Sad to see this go.

I would say Cingular has rollover now, but my uneducated guess is to say that they will drop it sometime in the next year. One reason I say that is whenever names change, often times the new name/company wants to change things that would identify the old name/company within the new. I, however, do not work for Cingular, nor do I sell it, so this is an uneducated guess at best.

As a Sprint rep I think the new Power Pack plans are way better than the F&F. I never used the overages and paid way to much for the outdated plan. You can tell though where the new money is to be had. With their great internet and tv options, they all went up to about $20 on average per month and unlimited text went to $10 on the single plans. It seems like the biggest key to getting a deal, from my experience, is to monitor the changes and when you see a good bargain get it then because they change all the time.

Sprint f & f plans are nice, but sprint as a company is not. Sprint resets ur elig phone upgrade date when u do an esn change. In addition they charge an activation fee when upgrading ur phone! Why does doing an esn change reset ur upgrade date. In addition they don't give u any type of early upgrades for high value customers. I used to be on a plan that costs $300 out the door with taxes and no ovrgs and when I went to upgrade my phone 5 days early they refused. My phone broke and when I did an esn change with an old phone on my acct nobody told me it was going to reset my phone upgrade date. Then 5 days later I go to upgrade my phone and had to pay full price for my pda the 6700 which was $619.99! These policies are horrible.

Now I have VZW and I can upgrade every year. And when I change my price plan my contract doesn't get extended for 2 years. In addition if I wait 20 months to upgrade my phone I get an addtl $100 off the new cstmr price on a phone. Finally being rewarded for staying with a wireless carrier.

I hate to tell you this, but the Power Pack Plan is not better then the Fair and Flexible, the cost, and the minutes stayed the same, the only change was that they took the flexible overages off. You can say whatever you want about Fair and Flexible, but how many people only went a couple of minutes over?

No Sprint rarely informs their customers about their policies before they make changes to their accounts which affects their status. It's for this reason that I chose Alltel instead of Sprint. Sprint has good coverage and competitive plans, but their customer service leaves something to be desired. At least they aren't the worst though, that spot is reserved for Centennial Wireless. But this isn't a hate site, so I won't get started on all the things that make them worse then ANYONE else.

i will agree with that. i called to order my new phone and they said with the new phone choice i had the option of 5% off my current plan or $70 off the first month bill. I said the 5 was better but didn't care til i heard phone pricing. she told me to choose one and then she would transfer me. i say "fine the 5%" and then i was on hold and hung up because of the wait. well about a week later i got a notice saying my "new plan changes" i looked and everything was the same but the contract date was 2 years from. i called them up immediately and told them to sod off because i hadn't even updated my phone and your best time to get a deal is out of contract for sure.

The didn't get rid of the F&F plans, they kind of just changed the name. They are now known as Power Pack Plans, and offer the same deal and the older F&F, but the no longer have the tiers. $5 for the additional 100 min you go over up to 1700 min, then its like $0.45 a min. They have the add 100 min for $5. With the old F&F, you had to pay $5 for Night and Weekends @ 7pm and Mobile to Mobile calling $5. Now with the Pwr Pak plans, that calling is included and you have the option to add Nights and Weekends at 6pm for $5 a month. No other service in the states has that right now. New plans have also been added to better provide to your usage. They now have Free Incoming calling Plans. Any call, any time of day or night, any day, that is incoming is free. you only use your min for and outgoing call. Nights and weekends at 9, with the opt to have free calling at 7 or 6. All these plans have NO roaming charges and include Nation wide long distance.

Rico, you sound like you're pretty new to the game.

The Free Incoming plan has been around longer then the two companies have been merged. And shortly after the merge is was made available to Sprint customers, nothing new there.

The power pack plans got rid of the flexible overages that you had available to you with the Fair and Flexible plans. The F&F plans that were available prior to the Power Pack plans also included nights and weekends starting at 7, and mobile to mobile calling was also included. OLD versions of the F&F didn't include these things, but the last version of it did. Only differences that I can see is you can add a few minutes for $5 and the add on price for 6pmN&W went down to 5 from 10. All those plans do include long distance provided you use more minutes on Sprint towers then you do on their roaming network. If you use more minutes roaming you'll be charged retroactively back to the beginning of the month for each and every minute roaming. The damnable thing about that is, it's not even in the fine print, but they will charge you if you spend more time roaming. Watch for it.
