I was hoping someone could help me - my motorola V3m got wet and I am trying to confirm how to tell if the sticker that changes colors was affected. Does anyone know where this is and what color it is supposed to be? If you can let me know, that would rock I am hoping my warranty isn't voided. Thanks!

There is a round slightly raised dot under the battery. It's normally white in color. If it turns red, yer screwed. Uhhh, that is, the dot will turn red if the phone gets wet.

There is also another sticker actually inside the phone.
I believe the stickers can be purchased on ebay

Thank you all so much for your help! Where inside the phone is this sticker - and how can I get to it? Any idea? Also - is there any specific term for these particular stickers?

I don't know the specific location on the V3m - we don't have cdma models in the uk.

Yeah, i took apart my wife's old razr and licked the sticker on the back and it turned red.
I wanted to see for myself what happened.

My name is Susannah and I am a journalist. I am working on a story about these moisture indicator strips, now found in most cell phones. I'm trying to access how accurate these strips are -- and if there are false positives.
If anyone has had any serious problems with these moisture indicator strips (ie not getting a warranty back because of "water damage" when the phone has never come in contact with water) on any cell phone model, I would love to speak with you, especially if you live in or around NY.
Please write me back -- the sooner the better -- at postsusannah@yahoo.
Thank you,
Susannah
