I own a Motorola L6 phone and my service provider is Cingular. ive had to go abroad recently due to work. once i got here i tried to replace the sim only to have my phone ask me for a code to unlock it for use here. i checked the cingular site but it says i have to call customer support back in the states.(pretty much their entire faq is answered by this response)
Long distance calls arnt viable from here and i dont want to buy another phone here for only a few weeks.
so my question is whether there is any way i can unlock my phone or whether im screwed.
any help will be much appreciated. My thanks in advance

cingular will unlock phone if some conditions are met... the process takes about 10 days...you should have thought of this before going
