Just to add to the many posts about this subject but focussing on the LG U8380.
Has anyone been able to make a 2gb card work and how.

Alright, I don't have your specific phone, but I have heard (and it's on here too) that Kingston cards do not work in LG phones for some reason. (Someone please correct me if I'm wrong). This has been my experience at least. I use a SanDisk 2GB card that works great!

Make sure you format the card in the phone.
Power off>insert card>power on>format the card.
My Kingston 1Gb works just fine.

For my Chocolate, I navigate to the settings and tools menu>select memory>select memory card>option>format card
after that i used a card reader and drag dropped all my files and voila'

Call your carrier and ask tech support to walk you thru the format. If your phone supports a micro sd slot, there's gotta be a page somewhere in your phone to format it.or using a reader ask the tech if you can format it on the computer or try it yourself and see what happens.
its also possible that the card is defective either thru user error or manufacturing.try every possiblilty and then if that doesnt work, ask the
vendor to send you a replacement.
another suggestion is- use a friends phone( LG or not) and see if the card can be formatted, take it into a store etc, etc

I hate user manuals but you could also try looking in there. The manuals are getting really sad these days!

Thank you williewill, I know- when all else fails read the instructions- but in this case I did!.
Sonship- I will try tech support but as the dealer said the manufacters only guarantee to 512 not 2gb. It appears that the speed of increase in memory on the micro card has by passed the delivery of the new models- if that makes sense.
