Hi I read on an amazon review that the only way to stop a call on the ericcson w300i when over is to push a button and that closing the flip top down will not end a call. Is this true. I thought all flip phones terminate the call when flipped down. Also, is there a one button step to turn on the speakerphone or would I have to access the menu with many steps. In trafic I would want to do this quickly. Also, how is the sony software for this? I know that those who have other sony software [i.r. sonicstage for MP3 plaers] so not like it. Any other wierd things I should know before I order this phone? I want to be able to transfer rigntones and make a address book will the software that comes with this do the trick. I wanted the lgcu400 also but it appears there is no software for that. Thanks so much for the info, its so hard to get the right phone and live with it for 2 years

That is not true about hanging up. I always flip mine shut to hang up. As far as the speaker phone goes, all you have to do is push one button after the call is connected. I can't speak for the software, I've never used it. All in all its a good, sturdy little phone.

One more question please. I just found out that the software that comes with this from Sony does not give you a way to type in contact info and transfer them to the phone. It only deals with music. I called them and they said I need another program like Microst Outlook. I do not have that on my computer. Do any of you know a software that can transfer my contacts from my pc to the phone so I do not have to type each one on the phone. Or am I going to have to buy a program like outlook? This is for the 300i. Thanks

sorry, I don't know of any windows programs offhand that would help you do that. you might try a google search and see if any other programs are available.
