I have a v600 with what seems to be a loose hinge when closed. What's bothering the hell out of me is that when the phone is closed, the hinge isn't tight causing the the outer display to flicker and the inside screen and buttons to light up. Where can I get a replacement hinge/spring? Is this a common problem?

I'm not sure by what you mean. I'm going to head up to radio shack or home depot and find some tools to take apart the phone...

Well, I took apart the phone. The hinge bezel is rather loose and not tight/snuggle. It has a lot of play in it... Looks like I'll have to order a new hinge and bezel set.... dang.
