+1 - somebody called me today
-1 - my phone rang to a ringtone that I've never heard and absolutely do not have on my phone.
I'm traveling abroad in the Holy Land right now, using a different service (Orange mobile), but the question still applies to cellular phones in general and can be applied to Cingular.
Essentially, can a caller specify a ringtone to play on the receiving end's phone?
After answering the phone (and confirming that it was a wrong number - immediately apparent as the caller spoke one word of English ['Hello'] and a lot of Hebrew), I checked my tones and saw that none of them matched what I heard.
I have a Razr V3, never branded (unlocked, obviously), with an Orange mobile SIM chip in it currently.
Any thoughts?
- Jacob
P.S. Oh... the phone was one vibrate when it rang (add that to the mystery)

The caller wasn't named Moses, was it?

Funny. and no. After the caller realized that I wasn't who he wanted (I don't speak Hebrew!), he hung up.
Any thoughts on the ringtone weirdness?

could be a hidden file for specific types of calls, or perhaps orange stores tones on the sim? that is strange though
