hi
i am fairly new to this
i have read a lot of other forums and tried most of the ways and methodes spoken of without success, and i tried the sites that were mentioned as well and they didnt work either.
i have the canadian Chocolate thru Telus (i really dont like them) with the microSD, with out the USB cord, it CAN recieve txt's and pix but it CAN'T recieve emails(i get a falure notice as soon as i send ne thing to my fone) i bought it a week after christmas.
most of the methods i hav come across are for the same fone as mine but different models (my fone has the micrSD as apposed to tha usb connection to tha computer and things like that)
this is all really starting to frustrate me.
haha
any help that can find its way to me would be super!
my email is Pyros_9_Eleven@hotmailDOTcom if any one just wants to send the info there (i couldnt URL my email adress so DOT=.

Alright, if you got a MicroSD card then I would imagine it came with a trans-flash adapter right? So all you need to do is stick the MicroSD card into the adapter and then stick the adapter into your computer (assuming you have an SDCard reader). Copy your MP3's to the card and away you go.
If you don't happen to have a SDCard reader and you don't have a USB cable and emailing your files to yourself doesn't work, then I don't know what else to say.
I don't know whether your Canadian model has OBEX Bluetooth capabilities or not but you might be able to send them to your phone from a Bluetooth enable computer.
Hope this helps.

thanks holtram3124 but i hav already read all 20 pages of that thread (i hav the last comment)
| Quote: | | "go to MY SOUNDS folder under "Get it Now", Get tunes and tones, and then my sounds. find the ringtone file that you want to use as your ringtone, then hit options and move, it should copy that file to your phone memory. after that is done, highlight that ringtone file and hit send (ok button) enter your own or your friends 10 digit telephone and within minutes it will send the message, and recieve the message. go to your inbox and open the file, it usually starts playing the tone immidiently. hit the right soft key (options) then scroll down to "set as ringtone" (it will be there) click ok and it wil ask you if you would like to set it as your main ringtone." |
i did all of this but when i went to use "set as ringtone" options it wasnt in my options list:
1. Raply
2. Reply to all
3. Play Again
4. Erase
5. Forward
6. Save>
7. Move to Saved
8. Detail
9. Lock
> 1. Adress
> 2. Text
> 3. Pictures
> 4. Sound
> 5. Video
any more info or a more detailed explination would be great
(i might hav done something wrong.)
thanks all

Hey all,
I have the exact same problem as Pyros. I'm also from Canada, and did the exact steps that were suggested, and I ended up with the same results as Pyros did. I just don't get how a music-oriented phone doesn't make transfering sound files into ringtones an easy process!

I've had my phone (Chocolate KG800) and I can't change the calling ringtone! For example, if someone was trying to call me, and I have their number in my phone, it will play one of the ringtones that was pogrammed into the phone when I first got it. I tried changing to over and over again and it still wont work. But if somone calls me and I don't have their number on my phone it will play the ringtone that I have set it to. Please help me!
