I had been able to connect my RAZR to my PC for about 6 months, now it won't connect. I used every method for deleting and reinstalling drivers I could find.

Now, I'm wondering if perhaps something is physically wrong with the phone or the OS, not the driver.

*I have swapped USB cords, nothing changes.
*I tried the phone on a Mac with OS X. It worked fine.
*I tried it on another PC, running XP. At first it seemed to work, then the driver would disappear in device manager.
*In Vista, I get recognition of a V3, then after a few seconds it says device unplugged.
*I did a master reset of the phone. nothing. Would a master clear do anything else?

Can anyone make sense of this or give me a suggestion of something elese to try? thanks.

A master clear won't help.

Have you run the motorola driver install program on clean and reinstall setting?

I ran the following driver installation programs:

*DriverTool
*Motorola USB Drivers v2.9

If the one you refer to as " motorola driver install program" is not one of the ones I listed, would you please point me in the right direction of where to find that? A link would be even better. Is "clean and reinstall setting" a function of that program? I don't know what it means.

Thank you so much for taking the time to reply.

Well it worked perfectly once, then stopped working. Now, it recognized the V3 for a second, then says installation failed.
