I received a job offer from Verizon Wireless to be a Cust Serv Rep and also got a job offer from T-mobile for a retail sales rep. Can anyone help point me in the direction of who to work for. If you work for them tell me who, what your job is and how you like your job or the company? Thanks!

I used to work for T-Mobile in Fin Services and they were good.but the office was very political. I currently work for Verizon Wireless in customer care and I really like it.

To be honest, and taking the companies out of the mix, I'd take customer care over retail anyday. I'd rather have someone yelling at me over the phone than spitting in my face any day. If the money is about the same, I'd take customer care.

If you don't mind me asking, what do you mean by "political"? I was considering employment with them up in Seattle in the near future. Thanks in advance.

I worked in the Tampa Call Center and there was a lot of "Cronyism". Of course, this was about 3 years ago. People were hired/promoted according to who they knew, not their qualifications. Can't speak for Bellevue, though.

I've never worked for VZW, only T-Mobile.

The company is decent. It pays pretty good and has great incentive programs. I work Tech Support, so I don't know much about the retail side, although I'll be transitioning to retail soon hopefully.

I've worked for them for about 3 years and have loved every minute icon_smile.gif

Thanks Tampadelphian for your reply. Yes, I know what you mean! I worked for a call center of a major credit card when I 1st moved to the Bay Area, and saw some "Cronyism's" going on.so I believe that can unfortuately happen anywhere. Sure hope that's not happening with your current employer, Verizon!

I hope you don't mind getting a tad off track here, but speaking of your job with VZW, are you at their Tampa call center also? Just curious, for my sister works for Verizon in their Tampa call center.

Otherwise, my experience with T-Mobile rep's as a consumer has been a very positive one.even though I'm currently a VZW customer. I'm considering going to T-Mobile when my contract is up in June. Also as I stated before considering employment up in Seattle.since they have a rather large presence up there.

Thanks again!

I WORK FOR VERIZONWIRELESS. and there is no better company to work for. there's instant benefits, they pay for schooling, you know about the latest and greatest before it happens. the incinitives are the best also.

and the pay rocks!

it's almost like comparing apples and oranges when trying to compare service and careers also between the both of them.

it's a fact that verizon wireless' service and network is the best.
why wouldn't a job be here the best also?
