I bought a 4gb card after reading on the forum that the w810i would accommodate it. After formatting the card using the phone, it is only showing 2gb. My buddy also has the same phone and bought a 4gb card…didn’t format it using the phone…is able to see all 4gb on his phone.
1) Do I need to upgrade the firmware so that it will format the card and see all 4gb?
2) Is there a way to unformat and/or reformat the card so that the phone will see all 4gb.
3) Has anyone come across this and did you figure out a way to undo it?

Try to format it on your PC. That might help.

If you have a Cingular Wireless w810i it will only read 2GB you need to flash your firmware to get full 4GB

I am having the same problem I did update my firmware /flash but it doesnt show my 4gb of space that i have! HELP US!!!!

Where di you buy your memory cards? If they were fake, ie a 2 gig card in 4 gig case and hacked to display 4 gigs of space, then reformating them could have revealed their true specs.
