I got my phone wet and everything works now after removing battery and drying out.except I cannot connect to the network - which is key here. The screen is crystal clear, the games work on it, I can hear all my music, etc, my contacts are in there, I can view texts sent and received but am unable to send any new messages or make any calls on it. Also, the battery charges fine. Verizon tech sees red dot indicating phone wet and says I need another but I want to know why all other features on phone work if phone is ruined? Anyone have advice?

Go back to the old school nokia- You can drop them in toilets, kick them down stairs, spill beer on them, whatever, and they just keep on ticking!
Just kidding MD. I don't have any advice for you other than trying to dismantle your entire phone and run over it with a hair dryer. Sorry!

Theres really not much you can do. Just wait a few days and hope it dries out and works again. If its not connecting to the network something is wrong inside due to getting wet and theres really nothing you can do

Unfortunately, once that water indicator has changed colors, Verizon puts their hands in the air and don't want anything to do with it.

Here's an idea. why don't you talk to the manufacturer of the phone since they would be the ones to repair something on your dime. Just go to their website and look for a link directing you to SUPPORT.
What the cell phone service PROVIDER has to do with your phone functions is nil.
