Ok, If you have had a phone with Sprint Nextel for more than 13 consecutive months, you qualify for a $75 rebate towards the purchase of a new phone. With that, you DO NOT qualify for any mail-in rebates. If you have had the same phone for 22 consecutive months, you qualify for the full $150 rebate towards the purchase of a new phone, AND you also qualify for any additional rebates the phone may have. Be that a mail-in rebate. You can NOT use rebates for used phones or after they expire. Allow 8-12 weeks for the mail -in rebate. In the event you have not received your rebate, you can check the status of your rebate at sprint dot com
If you want to check to see if you are eligible for a rebate through Sprint, go to the Sprint site.
Go to manage your account, special offers/Rebates
Enter your phone number with the area code, and the billing zip code on your account. You must have had the same phone for the months I said previously to qualify. If you have other questions, ask me and Ill try to help you the best I can

Sprint says I can sign up for 2 years and get a phone for $75 after a $75 mail-in-rebate. That's $150 out of pocket.
So then I wait 3 month for my rebate. I thought I better call and find out where it is.
The recording says I didn't qualify. WHAT?
Do you thing I could get out of my contract, NOPE! Another $150 "Early Termination Fee"
If Sprint does this a few thousand times that's a cool $450,000 just by false advertising, RIGHT?
How do I not qualify, when the Sprint Store says I did when I signed up.

Same thing happened to me last year me and my boyfriend signed on to the new two year contract and i got the katana and the representative that sold us the phones said that i would get a $50 rebate but it never came.

The rebate never came?
You didn't qualify for the rebate?
What exactly happened to you. Please be more specific.

I just had the same thing happen to me. Sprint/Nextel is using fraudulent business practices and false advertising to lure unsuspecting customers. They just stole $50 from me, claiming that my phone number is “invalid”. I will be filling charges against them with the Department of Consumer Affairs as well as any other agency that I can think of. I will personally see to it that this is the most costly $50 that they have ever stolen from any customer. I recommend that you do the same.

Wow, that sounds like when Sprint charged us an ETF of $200 when we never terminated our service, our phones were never turned off, and I had paid our bill way before it was due! The only thing we did was go to a Sprint store (a Sprint designated store referred by Sprint) to replace a phone we lost in our home that burned down. I've had continuous problems with Sprint and spend way too much time on the phone with them trying to get their mistakes straightened out. Needless to say, I spent 2 hours on the phone trying to get them to take of the ETF on my account. It took 2 more calls before they removed the fee. Sprint needs to return their call centers to the USA!

Sprint is such a pile. The only good thing that has come of their generalized incompetency for me involved a rebate. I picked up a Samsung m510 with a new line of service making me eligible for a 50 dollar rebate covering the 50 bucks it cost with new contract. Filled it all out, sent it in, 2 months later I receive a rebate for over $200 bucks. Not sure why, but i'll take it.

This happened to me a long time ago, and I vaguely remember someone saying to read the fine print on the rebate form, because there's all sorts of extra requirements. I just bought a phone yesterday that claimed a mail-in rebate (hence me finding this thread) and the form says, along with filling out the entire certificate and including the sales receipt, your account cannot have any unpaid past-due amounts, and you have to have a service plan of $34.99 or higher. There are probably different requirements on different rebates, it seems like they just don't want to make it easy on you, but hopefully it'll work for me this time!

I personally have worked in a Sprint call center, a third party Authorized Retailer, and a Corporate Sprint Store (currently). If anyone is having problems getting their rebates from Sprint, the BEST solution is to GO INTO your local Sprint store and have the representative call the rebate department, not customer care. It has worked every time that a customer has had a legitimate complaint about not receiving their rebate.

The Sprint store in my area seems focused on sales, most of the customers needing service have to go somewhere else to receive it.
