so i just got my t629, and there is an icon at the top near the center and it looks like a msg icon with a red flashing icon. i can not for the life of me figure out what it is. I thought it was a media message, but it doesnt seem to be. maybe im just retarded, but I just switched from the chocolate and not technology illiterate. i had a few other basic questions, if anyone has time to help me out
thanks

Page 24 of the owners manual has the icon's - you can find it here. http://www.samsung.com/Products/MobilePhones/T_Mobile/files/tmo_t629_m an.pdf Does it match any of thoses?

ok, so i had checked out the icons inthe manual and it didnt match up. then it hit me, the icon was like a red bar flashing on top of the text msg icon. It was telling me that my memory was low and to delete my inbox and sent box type of thing. its not in the manual. Now, I just switched to T-Mobile, and I was wondering if its just this phone or T-Mobile that makes it so you can not auto-delete your text msgs?

The only phones that I know of that auto delete sms are the Blackberries.Other than that you usuaully have to manually delete. Some of the Moto's allow you to set how long to save them and stuff like that, but it won't auto delete the earliest one in the inbox to make room for a new.

hey it actually is a memory meter on you messages. Just go in and delete some old texts and you'll be fine.
