Ok, i have a Verizon LG VX3400, and it doesn't have internet access, but under "settings" and then and then "Data settings", it gives a choice as to what type of PC connection you want. Is there anyway to get ringtones from online without internet access, or does my phone have internet access from the "PC connection" part, it is confusing me.

Go to VZWs web-site, put LG VX3400 in the search field. Click on the link that says "Go To Support". The first hot-topic there is "how to download a ringtone".
Verizon Wireless for all their little nicks (like their UI) has a lot of depth to their support on the web-site.

I have a CDM8945 that I have been trying to upload ringtones to. Several ideas have worked as far as getting the ringtone to the phone (Mobile17, FunForMobile, etc), but it always puts the ringtone in the "My Sounds" catagory and not the ringtone catagory that I can access to bring it up and use it. They play fine as a song though, just not as a ringtone. Anyone know how I can get these files into the ringtone menu? Thanks. BZ

on fun for mobile, it keeps telling me on vzwpix.com that it is an "invalid blablah" audio.
