I don't want to blow my money here, so I'll ask on these forums and the Verizon dealers themselves.
I want to get a new phone, the K800i. I just want to confirm it will work with Verizon wireless.
K800i - International version: Dual-mode UMTS (2100MHz) & GSM (900/1800/1900 MHz), with W-CDMA and GPRS - for all regions except Mainland China.
With those specs, is it possible for me to use it on Verizon wireless, via a sim card? Any help appreciated

Huh.? Ok so i learned from Metaxin that. "Verizon uses cdma so K790a and K800 - being GSM phones - will not work on Verizon."
I guess this is a different question.
What is a recommended service provider?

Cingular or T-Mobile are your two best options in the US. However, since the phone doesn't have an 800/850 spectrum in its specs, you're not going to have great coverage in many parts of the US.
