Didn't really figure it was a tutorial, but I never really looked either since I have a Samsung and just happened across this post by accident

Guys; you could try this (do delete it if I'm violating any rules)
If you want to access via you WAP phone:
goto www.jhonny.org/wap
You would need to enter an id#
enter 1 and press OK
Next it will show a comment as blank operator logo
Click on it and you'd receive an operator logo
Click on save.
If you want to access via you computer you can do so with the same address
www.jhonny.org/wap
On the right had side and you will see a link to the blank operator logo.
Click on it and the once available. right click and save on you computer.
Then you can upload using IR/ Bluetooth/ Cable.
Hope this has helped.

Yeah, that one works. It is good if you have wap service and don't want to pay to have someone sms it to you

hi fellow nokia forum answer seekers!
i am a newbie owner of a nokia 6230.
i've recently discovered the joys of bluetooth and have been able to zap some custom wallpapers of mine into the phone.
Operator logos are bothersome in this regard, since everyone wants to see their own lovely wallpaper and not advertise for the operator/mobile service provider.
i found a way to put a blank logo on my phone for free*!
<*wap costs not included - check your mobile service fees.>
instructions apply to nokia 6230 (but if you're a techie, you can modify.)
1. make sure your phone is wap capable ( check with your service provider) and that you have enough credits.
2. on the menu, go to services( the icon is a globe) click that.
3. scroll down and click the option "go to address"
4. type in "http://www.thenokiazone.com/wap/blank-logo.nol" and click enter
5.your phone will prompt you to save the operator logo. click yes/ok
6. enjoy your stunning wallpaper, sans distracting operator logo.
hope this step-by-step approach helps.

For your transparent logo on your WAP go to http://colourelliot.mywap.genie.co.uk
select colour operator logos and then scroll down to transparent
Bit more help for you than the last post!!!
Hi! I went with your advice and went to colourelliot for a blank op. logo. It worked pretty well except when I charged my phone (nokia 7270), the logo went missing. A small question mark appears everytime I switch the operator logo on. I tried downloading it again from colourelliot.mywap.genie.co.uk and when I try savng the new logo and replacing the blank one with the questionmark it just says that saving failed.
Can you help me out please? Thanks!! ^_^

Here's the answer to do it for totally free. You'll need the mobimb. (free does not include the charge of eitehr a bt dongle, data cable or irda port).
1) search for mobimb from google. get the trial version.
2) set up ur fone connection. (im sure most ppl are familiar).
3) ok, copy this image to your phone.
right click and press save picture as in between the two > <
><
4)In mobilemb, go to the folder IN YOUR PHONE and locate the BLANK.gif.
5) Select it
6) Click actions on the menu bar.
7) Click use as
8) Click operator logo.
DONE!
Actually this is a bug.....u ain't suppose to be able to use the trial version of mobimb to upload op logos..try right clicking on the BLANK.gid and see the use as op logo is not clickable.....but they apparently forgot to block the actions > use as menu.....enjoy it!
