Hi!
I am new to the modding world, so before I try modifying my phone I would like yo know the risks.
I know I can use SmartMoto with SmartClip to do a backup of the flash, but I wonder if there is any other alternative that is software-based only. What about PST?
Can I make a backup of the flesh?

PS.- Firmware is the same as flash, isn't it?

I have now seen that Flash&Backup can be used to do what I want. However, if I understand well,
it only works if my phone has boot loader 07.D0? Is this true for all versions of Flash&Backup (included v3.0.058)? How can I know my boot loader (my flash version is R478_G_08.84.2AR_A; I have a Moto PEBL-U6)?
I have also seen it is possible to downgrade th B\L to 07.D0? Is this safe? What are the implications?

I made a 'trial' backup of my 0A:30 boot with FB3, so yeah. i say 'trial' 'cos the trial version won't backup the flex (it is missing code group 2 - the flex) - so whatever you do - don't make a monsterpack with that & flash it back to your phone, as the trial version does not have flex!
