i have a magenta razr v3 and two days ago, my screen turned black right after i hung up on the phone. i quickly found out that i could still receive calls. after looking up my problem online, i found that i could also make calls and mobilephonetools can show me my messages. so basically everything works fine except for the black screen. i've tried several monsterpacks but my phone is still the same. what should i do?

sounds like the flex cable has come loose, squeeze the lower left hand corner while powering on and see if it comes on

thanks for replying so fast icon_smile.gif but that doesn't work. maybe i'm not squeezing hard enough :/ is it possible for me to open the razr to do something about this loose flex cable?

i had the same problem. the squeeze did not work but when i took the top cover off my razr the flex cable was indeed loose.
there is a disassembly guide on here somewhere or just google it.

hi and thanks for the tips. I tried to squeeze the corner but either it doesn't work out for me or I'm not doing it right. anyway, I googled for the disassembly guide so I'd be grateful if someone could point out which cable exactly is supposed to be loose from the pictures.

thanks in advance.

[edit] seems like I can't yet post a link. well, the link is from themotoguidecom
