Hello to all on this forum.

I have extensively looked through many sites and have found lots of codes.

The sgh-x600 I purchased off ebay has a password that is required to be put in before I can get into the phone. The phone is not locked to any network and I have entered the codes to reset the phone and the password is not 00000000.

When I put the code in to check locks it says the sim lock activated. Even after reset and the password is still not reset to 00000000.

Any help please? if I can fix it it was a good purchase, if not expensive paper weight.

if you use GSM service (such as T-Mobile) put the sim card into the phone, then call your service provider and request a PUK code and that is what you will need to enter, however for CDMA (service without simcards) im not sure how they would be able to handle it

Do I need a PUK code if the sim card its self is not locked? It seems the phone its self is passworded and not the sim card.

The sim card works in other phones and any sim card I put into the sgh-x600 needs a password when u start the phone.

I have reset the phone with the codes and I read that this should reset the password to 00000000. But it does not.

Any help please to reset this password? and its not 00000000 for some reason.

Thanks group

the sgh-x600 is now working fine as I unlocked it with the e700 cable, however if I turn the phone off it asks for the password which should be 00000000. its not. Obviously I do not know what the password was set to by previous owner, how do I reset the phone password? Thanks for any help
