I ordered this phone because my contract wasn't up and my sound card went out. The picture was just like my phone [blue], but this one is gray.
When I search Google for this phone i find it is for Non-US carriers.
Did I get ripped off? Or will it work?

Its a CDMA phone from what I can tell so it should be able to work with CDMA carriers. Who is your provider?

Thanks for answering. My provider is Alltel and when I called them they said that model is not compatable [I called after I posted this morning] I found this site on a Google search and it lists it as a phone for Non-US carriers.

Is Alltel just trying to force me to buy from them?

The site you listed shows it as Midwest compatible.
CDMA providers really are a law unto themselves though and you need to register the handset with them. They do not have the flexibility of GSM

I'm sorry, I don't understand. How can I register it with them, since they told me that model wouldn't work for them?

You would have to give them the ESN number - but since they won't accept there is little if anything you can do. I doubt its a phone issue though - more of a bloody minded provider issue.
