Hi,
I'm a newbie to this forum. I have a Motorola V180 and I really want to unlock it. I did a search and I found out the method to unlock it but at the same time I found that there are some who couldnt do it. My flasback is an RG364, but I dont have a USB cable. I also read that there could be some complications with unsuccessful unlockings. So I was thinking if anyone could help me out.

I did read in the forums that some of the members like OldFool was willing to unlock V180s for free. So Oldfool, if it is ok with u, could you unlock my V180 for free? Please?
Thanks
nev

No you will need to use p2k or other software to change the attribute of those file to remove the lock or just to delete them.

Hi Old_Fool, I am new in this forum. I just got hold of a used Motorola RAZR (can't really tell which model) locked to AT&T, USA. Can you please help me to unlock the phone? I hope to hear from you soon. Thanks and have a good weekend. Cheers.

Hi Mikekay, Thanks for the info. I have checked that out and other sites on the web and determined that the Razr is not the original V3. The firmware version starts with R4515 but I have no way of telling which V3 model. I just found out that the charger is not working and the phone did not come with the data cable (and no I do not have a digital camera cable and don't know who has since I have just relocated here). I hope not to spend any more money on the phone as I still have to buy a charger. The unlocking process looks daunting and I do not have a personal computer right now nor administrative rights to the computer at the Uni. I hope some one can help me out. Thanks and have a good day. Cheers.

Here's my dilemma. I have a kid that will someday create a completely waterproof cell phone. Until than, I just have drawer full of useless phones that have met their demise in the deep end of the pool.

I do have an older Moto V180 (scared of water) that I would like to unlock. Can you help?
