Well, my V3xx died. Actually, it gets no signal, none at all in all of the good-signal places, including my house. Fortunately, the gold V3xx that I ordered as another upgrade arrived on the same day, so I'm not without a phone. Cingular is sending a replacement, so that's covered as well.
The big issue now is that I can't do a master clear because it won't take the security code. I'm certain beyond a shadow of a doubt that I've not changed the security code from the default (1234). I've tried that, variations on that, and the last 4 digits of my number, to no avail. Any other ideas? The new phone will be here Wednesday, so I have until then to figure out something. There''s nothing on the phone that I don't want strangers to see, but I'd feel better if I deleted all of the contacts, tunes, and photos from the phone. Another strange thing is that I can't sync the phone with MPT, which I've NEVER had any trouble with until now.
Also, is there a way to power up the V3xx or whatever phone without a SIM card for the purpose of retrieving info or contacts?
Actually, it has just occured to me that maybe I can delete this info individually without using the master clear. I'm gonna try that now.
Well, I can, but it's gonna take forever. I'll resort to that if no one has any ideas here. Thanx in advance.

Well normal p2k phones have SEEM 004a_0001/004b_0001
offset 4D (00 SIM card NOT required for phone access, 01 SIM card required for phone access)
not sure about the p2k 05 phones however.
Similarly Motokit would read the code of a p2k phone but I don't think it will a p2k 05 phone and you could use p2k tools to delete contacts etc of a p2k phone
Sorry - I'm aware I've posted more questions than answers but I don't know much about the p2k 05 models (you might have guessed) - they are pretty new and I don't have one to play with.

Mike, you might have noticed that my 2nd V3xx, the gold one died under the same exact circumstances. I've not delved into SEEm editing just yet, between building and tuning PAs, doing shows, and keeping the network running for the company, I simply don't have any more time. Thanx for the info, I'll print it off and keep it for (hopefully) further use. Meanwhile, I'll use the 3rd grey V3xx and wait for the replacement gold one (the 4th one). I certainly hope this isn't a trend.
Thanx again, Mike.
